Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County Earns IEHP's Mission INSPIRE AWARD

San Bernardino City USD Honors Outstanding Individuals

The San Bernardino City Unified School District’s Board of Education recently presented Outstanding Achievement Awards to students, parents, and staff of Jones and Norton Elementary Schools, Curtis Middle School, and Indian Springs High School (ISHS).

The school board recognizes Outstanding Student Award winners to build self-esteem and honor excellence in academics, athletics, fine arts, citizenship, and most improvement. The Board also presents the Outstanding Parent/Grandparent/Volunteer Award and Outstanding Employee Award to individuals who embody the District’s dedication to student achievement and well-being.

The awardees at Jones Elementary School are:

  • Carter Weber, 5th grade
  • Ezequiel Huerta Acuna, 6th grade
  • Patricia Avila Ramirez, Outstanding Parent Award
  • Patricia Alvarado, Outstanding Classified Employee
  • Bonnie Luce, Outstanding Certificated Employee

The awardees at Norton Elementary School are:

  • Lucy Baker, 3rd grade
  • Ayden Smith, 5th grade
  • Lauren Lucas, Outstanding Parent Award
  • Shanyn Sanders, Outstanding Classified Employee
  • Bradley Breier, Outstanding Certificated Employee

The awardees at Curtis Middle School are:

  • Andy Lazaro, 8th grade
  • George Hernandez, 8th grade
  • Margarita Velador, Outstanding Grandparent Award
  • Rosa Gastelum De Lopez, Outstanding Classified Employee
  • Christopher Petriccione, Outstanding Certificated Employee

The awardees at Indian Springs High School are:

  • Brenda Herrera Rincon, 12th grade
  • Nubian Prince Nelson, 10th grade
  • Maritza Romero, Outstanding Parent Award
  • Guadalupe “Lupe” Escobar, Outstanding Classified Employee
  • Jenna Jinks, Outstanding Certificated Employee
