San Bernardino County Library marks the holiday season with rewards

Library branch reopens following year-long repairs

San Bernardino City Library patrons may once again visit the Paul Villaseñor Branch Library to check out books or participate in reading programs following the completion of repairs and improvements.

The library, located at 525 North Mt. Vernon Avenue, was closed for a year to conduct repairs to the building, remodel the community room and install upgrades to the restrooms.

“Villaseñor Library is an important part of San Bernardino’s Westside,” said Erjavek. “The programs are very popular, especially with the kids, and its absence was noticed. The staff is especially happy to be back.”

Some services, including public computers and Wi-Fi remain down while San Bernardino completes  upgrades to all Library branches.

The Library, named after World War II war hero Paul Villaseñor, features approximately 22,000 book titles, including 3,500 in Spanish.

Library hours are Mondays and Tuesdays from Noon until 8:00 pm, and from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The Library is closed on Fridays and Sundays.
