The San Bernardino Public Works department is working overtime to repair roads damaged by the recent onslaught from Mother Nature.
The heavy rains that hit San Bernardino last week have created many potholes on streets throughout the city. In response, Public Works is working to inspect streets and fill potholes and crews have been assigned additional early morning, after-hours, and weekend shifts to address the problem.
The City has ordered an additional 50 tons of asphalt (cold mix) material to fix the potholes. The City will focus on major arterial streets and other highly traveled streets first, followed by neighborhood streets, and finally parking lots at city parks will be addressed once the arterials are complete.
Storms expected next week may delay repairs or cause additional potholes.
Residents are encouraged to report any potholes to the SB Direct Hotline – (909) 384-SBSB (7272) during normal business hours or by using the Go SBCity app from your smartphone.
