Dodgers’ legend Derrel Thomas reads to kids at Blair Park

Dodgers’ legend Derrel Thomas, a member of the 1981 World Series champion team, joined children and City Councilmembers Kim Knaus and Mario Flores at the Dodgers Dreamfield for an LA Reads Storytime hosted by the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation and the City of San Bernardino Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department.

Thomas read aloud to elementary school-aged children, who also received free books and a special Dodgers bobblehead while supplies lasted.

The event brought the excitement of the Dodgers to the San Bernardino community while encouraging young readers to discover the joy of books and develop a lifelong love of reading.
