San Bernardino schools receive recognition for positive learning environments

The California Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Coalition (CPC) recognized several San Bernardino schools for creating a positive learning environment and furthering the social and emotional development of students.

“Implementation of PBIS occurs at the site, classroom, and individual level,” said San Bernardino County Superintendent Ted Alejandre. “The social emotional wellness of both our staff and students is a high priority and PBIS supports that goal. I am proud of the tremendous work that has gone into our schools receiving this recognition.”

CPC began a recognition system in 2015 to acknowledge schools implementing PBIS with fidelity to improve the culture on campus for students and staff. Sites are recognized as Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum PBIS schools based on their level of implementation.
