CSUSB makes top 3 for social mobility in Best Colleges list

A new report by The Wall Street Journal, College Pulse and Statista has ranked California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) in the top three nationally for social mobility.

The  America’s Best Colleges ranking recognizes institutions that take in the highest proportion of students coming from lower-income families, while maintaining high graduation rates and having a positive impact on graduate salaries and minimizing the costs of attending the college.

CSUSB also made the Best Colleges list this year, coming in at No. 46 out of 500 institutions. Princeton University, followed by Babson College at No. 2. San José State was the top California State University campus on the list, at No. 16.

Other rankings in the list for CSUSB include:

  • Student Experience category, based on an independent surveys of verified college students and recent graduates, No. 27
  • Best Value category No. 34
  • Best Salaries category No. 107
