Virtual Counter Service Launched by County’s Land Use Department

San Bernardino County’s Land Use Services Department made submitting plans, permits, zoning, and development of project research easier with the new online “Virtual Counter.” This will help people now do research online with the customer service counter. Applicants can also conduct their research by phone.

Services like permits, zoning, fee estimates, or general information now have available access 24-hour, 7-day-a-week. The new Virtual Counter service also takes specific questions, or complaints that receive individual responses.

Terri Rahhal, Land Use Services Director said “This saves trips to County offices and time spent on the phone. This innovation is a huge step forward in our customer service capabilities.”

The Land Use Services released a mobile app call, SBC311 – Land Use Services. This app is for Android users and brings all the Virtual Counter Features to smartphones and tablets. To get the App, it is on the Google Play store and in the near future to Apple as well.
