Former City Attorney and Mayoral Candidate to Appear on Local Radio Show

Former City Attorney of San Bernardino and candidate for Mayor Jim Penman will appear on the Lou Desmond & Co show Thursday evening, August 11 to discuss his run for mayor with local businessman Cliff Cummings and host Lou Desmond.  The show airs weeknights at 5:00 p.m.  on KMET 1490 ABC News radio Inland Empire and can also be viewed and heard through the station’s website.

Last week the other candidate in the runoff for the elected position of Mayor of the City of San Bernardino, Helen Tran was on the program.  “I am glad that Jim Penman has decided to come on the show,” said Cummings. “This is a critical election in terms of the future of the City of San Bernardino and people need to get to know the candidates and what they stand for.”

Show host Lou Desmond decried the lack of local political coverage by other radio outlets in the region.  “I think because so much of our media does come from outside the Inland Empire and so much of the programming on-so called local stations is syndicated that there just is a lack of in-depth coverage of politics and governance in the region and that is a disservice to the people who live here.”
