Arthropolooza: The Ultimate Bugfest Returns to Museums

If creepy crawlies don’t give you the creeps, then maybe Arthropolooza: The Ultimate Bugfest will. This weekend only, February 18-19, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. celebrate all things creepy, crawly, sticky, prickly, wiggly, yucky, and kind of cute. The day(s) will be filled with festivities that highlight arthropods as well as a great opportunity for families to have a good time together to develop a love of nature!

Experience the fascinating world of insects through outdoor exploration games and hands-on art activities. The museum has captured the following partners to make sure to keep you “busy as a bee”: California Native Plant Society, Chino Hills State Park Discovery Center, San Bernardino County Department of Public Health Vector Control, The Wildlands Conservancy, Jurupa Mountain Discovery Center, Oak Canyon Nature Center, Bee Rooted, and more!

David Myers, Museum Director said “We are thrilled to bring this award-winning event back in-person and highlight all the remarkable work being done by our partners that focus on the diversity of arthropods in our region and their ecological roles and significance to our environment.”

The San Bernardino County Museum is located at 2024 Orange Tree Lane, at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $10 (adult), $8 (military or senior), $7 (student), and $5 (child ages 6 to 12). Children five and under and Museum Association members are admitted free. Parking is free. The museums are accessible to persons with disabilities.
