San Bernardino School District offers free sports physicals

Free sports physical clinics open to San Bernardino students

Middle and High School students interested in playing school sports within San Bernardino City Unified School District can attend one of two free sports physical clinics in January and February thanks to a partnership with Inland Empire Health Plan.

Families who are interested in one of the free clinics can book an appointment by contacting Student Wellness & Support Services at 909-473-2080. No insurance or legal documentation is required.

Students are required to complete an annual physical before trying out for a sport in order to determine whether it is safe for them to participate.

Appointments are available at two Saturday clinics scheduled in January and February. Both are held from 8 to 11 a.m. Following are the clinic dates and locations.

• Jan. 20: Del Vallejo Leadership & STEAM Academy, 1885 E. Lynwood Drive, San Bernardino.

• Feb. 17: Arrowview Middle School, 2299 N. G St., San Bernardino.
