Weekly farmers market coming to San Bernardino

Weekly farmers market coming to San Bernardino

Beginning Tuesday, October 17, San Bernardino will host a weekly certified farmers market at the Court Street Square, located at 349 North E. Street.

More than 20 different vendors will be on hand from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm each Tuesday, selling fresh, locally sourced produce, as well as hot prepared food. As a certified farmers market, the produce sold will come straight from the farm and sold by the farmer or their staff personally.

“Bringing locally grown fruits and vegetables to our residents and employees every Tuesday is an exciting addition to Downtown San Bernardino,” said Parks and Recreation Director Lydie Gutfeld, whose department is organizing the market.

With many large employers in close proximity to the market, including Cal Trans, the County of San Bernardino, the County courthouse, and the City of San Bernardino, Gutfeld is expecting nearby employees to become regulars.

“This will be a great option for the people that work Downtown,” she added. “People will be able walk over and grab something delicious for lunch or stock up on healthy foods for home.”
