Thanksgiving for the Animals and free adoption event Nov. 27

The City of San Bernardino Animal Services will be holding its third annual “Thanksgiving for the Animals” event Wednesday, November 27 at its Animal Shelter located at 333 Chandler Place in San Bernardino from 6:00 am until 9:00 am (feeding will take place from 7:00 – 9:00 am).

Volunteers will be preparing a special hot Thanksgiving themed meal for the dogs currently housed at the shelter that include ground turkey, rice, vegetables, and doggie dessert treats.

The event will be followed by a free adoption event for all dogs and cats at the shelter, which will run from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

City leaders and Animal Services staff will be available to discuss the event, the role volunteers play in the Shelter’s success, and the adoptions and foster opportunities available for members of the public.
