San Bernardino offers Family Friendly Halloween Themed Events

The City of San Bernardino will be holding several family friendly Halloween themed events in October that are geared toward children at its parks and libraries. All of the events listed are free to attend.

The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department will be holding its annual Trick or Treat Halloween Spooktacular on October 25 from 5:00 – 9:00 pm at Al Guhin Park, located at 3664 Little League Drive. The festivities will include a costume contest, magic show, kids’ zone, candy, games, crafts, and food vendors.

Feldheym Central Library will be holding a trick or treat and movie night from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28. Kids are encouraged to come in costume, and candy will be distributed while supplies last. The Halloween themed movie will begin at 5:00 pm and is kid and teen appropriate. Feldheym Library is located at 555 West 6th Street.

The Paul Villasenor Library will be holding a Halloween Bash on Monday, October 27 starting at 5:00 pm. There will be a haunted hallway, Halloween themed games, and arts and crafts. The Villasenor Library is located at 525 North Mt Vernon Avenue.

The Rowe Library will be holding a trick or treat event on Monday, October 27. Children are encouraged to come in costume and candy will be distributed while supplies last. The Rowe Library is located at 108 East Marshall Boulevard.

Inghram Library will be holding a screening of K-Pop Demon Hunters on Wednesday October 29 at 4:00 pm. This is a family friendly film and open to all ages. Inghram Library is located at 1505 West Highland Avenue.

For those looking for something a little scarier, the Inghram Library will also be holding a horror movie night on Monday, October 27. They will be showing John Carpenter’s The Thing. This show will be restricted to guests 18 and over.
