In observance of the Fourth of July holiday weekend, Metrolink, Southern California’s regional passenger rail provider, will operate on a weekend schedule on Friday, July 3 on the Antelope Valley, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley, San Bernardino, Inland Empire-Orange County and Ventura County lines, along with the Arrow service. The Riverside Line, which does not operate on weekends, will not be in service.
For those traveling to Independence Day celebrations or simply looking to explore over the long weekend, Metrolink’s $10 SoCal Day Pass is an affordable option that offers unlimited rides throughout Metrolink’s six-county system on the day of purchase. Up to three kids 17 and under also ride free on Saturday and Sunday with a paying adult, making Metrolink a cost-friendly choice for families heading to a SoCal beach or visiting family and friends.
A repository of popular activities and destinations near Metrolink stations is available to peruse at metrolinktrains.com/explore.
While Metrolink’s Rail 2 Rail® program will operate normally during the holiday weekend, Amtrak Pacific Surfliner codeshare trains, which accept Metrolink tickets between Los Angeles and Ventura, may restrict access on a case-by-case basis if capacity becomes limited.
