The Believe Walk, Stater Bros. Charities annual fundraiser for cancer research, is scheduled to be held Oct. 5 in downtown Redlands.
Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. at 1 E. State St., followed by opening festivities at 7:45 a.m. at Ed Hales Park, located at 5th Street and North 5th Street.
Pre-event festivities will include a Survivor and Thriver Celebration at Ed Hales Park to honor cancer survivors and to offer support and resources to those currently diagnosed with cancer, and a Bark and Believe booth for canines. Immediately after crossing the finish line, walk participants will enter the Believe Bash and be welcomed by over 55 vendors and music from a live band. Cancer survivors can take part in a survivor photo, a dove release, and ring the survivor bell.
The 5K walk, which is dog friendly and will held rain or shine, will start at 8 a.m. and conclude at the Redlands Bowl, 225 Grant St. The event will conclude at noon.
Free parking is available at CVS, 101 Redlands Mall, the public parking garage at 250 W Stuart Ave., and on streets where there are no restrictions posted.
The Believe Walk has raised $11.1 million since it began in 2008, according to Stater Bros. Charities. For more Information visit www.believewalk.org.
