Stater Bros. Markets, recently announced the promotion of three teammates to vice president roles:
- Mike Crawford promoted to Vice President Strategic Insights & Process Innovation
- Alex Lemos promoted to Vice President Accounting
- Sonia Muñoz promoted to Vice President Employee Relations
“As we work toward operating ever more efficiently, these well-deserved promotions are a testament to the talented teammates within Stater Bros. who are ready to assume expanded roles and responsibilities,” said McNiff. “I am proud of their accomplishments and the example of teamwork that they are setting for our organization every day.”
Crawford will report to Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Rebecca Calvin and be tasked with deriving data-driven consumer insights that power sales and grow customer count. Lemos, reporting to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Mike Reed, will now lead all aspects of the company’s accounting, including financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash reporting. Meanwhile, Muñoz will continue reporting to Senior Vice President Human Resources (HR) Jerrold Coakley and be accountable for the company’s bargaining and non-bargaining groups, enabling company leaders to have a workforce of high-performing teammates, while leading major initiatives and projects focused on teammate engagement and productivity.
Crawford has been with Stater Bros. since 2000, when he joined as a Courtesy Clerk. He joined the Marketing Department in 2012 as a Category Manager. He advanced through the roles of Data Manager, Data/Procurement Manager, and Director Merchandising/Data before being promoted to Director Analytics in 2022. In 2023, he was promoted to Senior Director Data Analytics and Insights, and in 2024, he was appointed to the position of Senior Director Shrink & Process Improvement.
Lemos’s career with Stater Bros. began in 2014 as an Assistant Controller – Support Operations in the Accounting/Finance Department. In 2018, he was promoted to Controller – Corporate Operations and in 2021, he was elevated to Corporate Controller. In 2023, he was promoted to Senior Controller.
Muñoz began her career with Stater Bros. in 1994 as a Courtesy Clerk. After advancing through several positions at the store level, she transitioned to a Human Resources Assistant role in 2016. She was promoted to Human Resources Supervisor in 2014 and then Labor Relations Specialist in 2017. In 2018, she was promoted to Manager Labor Relations and in 2019, she moved up to Director Labor Relations. Muñoz was promoted to Senior Director Employee Relations in 2020.
