The community came out in droves last week to celebrate the grand re-opening of El Pollo Loco on Kendall Dr.
Originally opened in 1994, the restaurant at 1695 W. Kendall Dr. near University Parkway, received a complete interior and exterior remodel. Guests were treated to giveaways as part of the festivities, which included a free meal per month for the next year to the first 100 visitors in line.
Operator Lee Alvarez, who was just a youngster when his father opened the restaurant over 30 years ago, was joined by Mayor Helen Tran, Council member Mario Flores, Virginia Marquez from Supervisor Baca’s office, and the San Bernardino Area Chamber of Commerce to mark the occasion.
Hours are 9:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 9:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
