Stolen Dog Story Has Happy Ending Thanks to Police Department

Pet owners who have experienced the disappearance of a beloved furry family member know the anguish that a family in San Bernardino recently went through – but thanks to the quick and brilliant work of the San Bernardino Police Department the family also now knows an indescribable joy as their beloved puppy was returned to them.

Amora’s saga began on May 5th  when according to police reports,  “a male and a female suspect devised a plan to go to the victim’s residence. The male suspect drove the female suspect there in his work vehicle. He parked across the street and cased the victim’s residence. Once no one was seen at the residence, the suspect drove the work vehicle onto the victim’s driveway. The female got out of the vehicle and stole a three-month-old puppy (Amora) from her yard. She got back into the vehicle with the puppy, and she and the male fled from the residence.”

Amora was no stray and no ordinary puppy, “The owner estimated his loss to be between $7,000 – $10,000 due to the puppy’s unique and desired bloodline.”  But of course it wasn’t the monetary value that Amora’s two-legged family missed but their beloved puppy who had been cruelly snatched from her loving home.

Detectives with the San Bernardino Police Department investigated the case and determined the identity of the suspects involved in the theft of the puppy. Then on the 16th of June one of the suspects was located and interviewed by detectives and subsequently admitted to stealing the puppy.
