St. John’s Community Health is entering their 60th year of health care in Southern California and they are kicking off the celebrations by holding a free community event at their newest clinic in San Bernardino.
Open to the public, this free event will feature food, games, activities for kids, and tables with resources from various programs at St. John’s Community Health. The event will be Saturday, May 11 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.
St. John’s San Bernardino clinic is located at 500 N. Waterman Avenue.
St. John’s Community Health opened their first clinic in 1964 in South Los Angeles with just a few patients. Today, they serve more than 120,000 patients.
In addition to the San Bernardino location, St. John’s has plans to open three more health clinics in the Inland Empire. The new clinics are expected to serve more than 30,000 people by the end of this year, marking a major impact on the area where around 70 percent of low income families currently lack access to basic health care.
