Cosmic Nights is returning to the San Bernardino County Museum this Friday, November 17, from 7 to 10 p.m. The event is made possible through a partnership with the Riverside Astronomical Society.
Visitors will be able to view stars, planets, the moon and other astronomical phenomena through a telescope or bring binoculars and set up their own telescopes. Telescope operators will be on hand to take questions and discuss astronomy with visitors. The event takes place outdoors and visitors are advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
The San Bernardino County Museum is located at 2024 Orange Tree Lane, at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $10 (adult), $8 (military or senior), $7 (student), and $5 (child ages 6 to 12). Children five and under are admitted free. Museum Association members receive a fifty percent discount. Parking is free and the museum is accessible to persons with disabilities.
