Senator Bogh secures grant money

Inland Empire receives grants from California Department of Housing

Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R-Yucaipa) has announced the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has awarded the counties of San Bernardino and Riverside funds from the CalHome program totaling $3,758,000.

“I am grateful the Department of Housing and Community Development has chosen the counties of San Bernardino and Riverside to receive funds that will benefit first-time homebuyers or homeowners,” said Senator Ochoa Bogh. “Affordability continues to hamper Californian’s ability to buy a home and stay in a home. The awarded grants are welcomed support that will greatly benefit struggling families with vital services.”

CalHome awards grants to local public agencies or nonprofits to fund local programs to assist low- and very low-income households in becoming or remaining homeowners.

Neighborhood Partnership Housing Services, Inc in San Bernardino County received $2,498,000 to help support the First-Time Homebuyer Program and Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program.

Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley in Riverside County received $1,260,000 to help support the Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program.
