San Bernardino’s Public Works Department is currently working on the second phase of street sign replacements as part of a multi-year plan to ensure all street signs are maintained properly and not missing according to a statement on the City’s website.
The City anticipates replacing approximately 900 street signs during the second phase, many which are located in the City’s 5th Ward.
In addition to the street signs, stop signs will be replaced as well, if needed.
The San Bernardino City Council approved the contract to replace street signs on a multi-year cycle in 2023.
If residents have a missing street sign in their neighborhood, they are encouraged to report it by calling (909) 384-7272 or by using the GoSB app on their smart phone.
