San Bernardino receives grant to build affordable housing

Last week, Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R-Yucaipa) announced that the City of San Bernardino will receive a $500,000 Local Early Action Planning (LEAP Program) grant from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).

“I thank the Department of Housing and Community Development for its effort to ensure the city of San Bernardino receives direct funds to help build affordable housing,” said Senator Ochoa Bogh, member of the Senate Housing Committee. “The awarded grant will fast-track housing production and will afford families in the Inland Empire a place that they can call home one day.”

The grant will assist the city with planning and process improvements that will accelerate the development of affordable housing within city limits.
