County to host street vending workshops

County to host street vending workshops

San Bernardino County Environmental Health Services, in collaboration with San Bernardino County Code Enforcement, is excited to announce a series of workshops designed to assist prospective street vendors in navigating the licensing process and understanding important regulations.

Street vending is vital to our community, offering unique food experiences and supporting local entrepreneurs. To help aspiring vendors succeed, the county is hosting workshops that will provide essential information and resources, including street vending laws, guidance on the types of food vending permits and options beyond street vending.

Workshop Details:

Tuesday, July 23 from 5-6:30 p.m.
Ayala Park Community Center, 17909 Marygold Ave., Bloomington, CA 92316

Wednesday, July 24 from 5-6:30 p.m.
Vermont Elementary School, 3695 Vermont St., San Bernardino, CA 92407

A virtual option is available for both workshops. In-person and virtual workshops will be offered in both English and Spanish. For more details, RSVP here.

In addition to the workshops, the county has developed a range of resources to guide food vendors through regulations and achieve their business goals. These resources include:

  • A comprehensive street vending handbook
  • A detailed flowchart to determine the appropriate permit
  • A newly launched food vendor consultation program
  • Many other supportive tools

“By providing these resources in Spanish, we are committed to supporting a diverse range of aspiring food vendors, helping to create a vibrant and inclusive business community within our county,” said Public Health Director Joshua Dugas. “We believe these resources will not only aid in navigating the regulatory landscape but also empower vendors to achieve their business goals.”
