County selects Goldfrach as new Hospital CEO

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors have appointed Andrew Goldfrach, a respected health-care industry expert, to Chief Executive Officer for the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC). Goldfrach, who had been serving ARMC’s chief operating officer for the past several years, will start his new position on June 1.

“I am honored to have this opportunity to lead the dedicated team at ARMC,” said Goldfrach. “Together, we are committed to advancing health care excellence and improving outcomes for our patients and community.”

Since joining ARMC in March 2020, Goldfrach has spearheaded transformative initiatives that have elevated the hospital’s status and expanded its service offerings. Under his leadership, ARMC achieved accreditation as a comprehensive stroke center, established a new neuroscience critical care service, and developed innovative programs in cardiothoracic surgery and minimally invasive robotic surgery.

“Andrew brings a unique blend of strategic vision and operational expertise,” said San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors Chairman and Third District Supervisor Dawn Rowe. “His leadership has been instrumental in driving growth, enhancing patient care, and strengthening our community partnerships.”

Prior to his role at ARMC, Goldfrach served as the CEO of University Hospitals Avon Rehabilitation Hospital in Ohio, where he achieved positive quality outcomes and financial performance. His initiatives resulted in significant growth in admissions, improved patient satisfaction scores, and enhanced clinical protocols focused on high reliability care. Andrew is also a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).

Goldfrach holds a master’s in health administration from Washington University School of Medicine and is board-certified in healthcare management by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). As part of his new role, Goldfrach will also join the Board of Directors for the California Association of Public Hospital and Health Systems (CAPH) as well as the Board of Trustees for the California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM).
