San Bernardino Animal Services waives all fees for pet adoptions

City joins Clear the Shelters campaign to promote pet adoptions

The City of San Bernardino Animal Services Department has partnered with local television stations NBC 4 and Telemundo 52 as part of the ninth annual Clear the Shelters campaign intended to promote pet adoptions during the month of August.

As part of the promotion, the San Bernardino Animal Shelter is offering pet adoptions for only $25, which includes spay/neutering, microchipping, and vaccines.

“For anyone looking to add a dog or cat to their family, now is the perfect time,” said San Bernardino Animal Services Director Kris Watson. “We have over 250 wonderful dogs to choose from and for those looking to adopt a cat, it is kitten season too.”

The San Bernardino Animal Shelter is located at 333 Chandler Place. Lobby hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am – 5:00 pm with pet visitations from 11:00 – 4:00. Online photos and descriptions of pets available for adoption can be found at https://www.sbcity.org/city_hall/animal_services/adoptions

Established in 2015, the NBC/Telemundo Clear the Shelters campaign has successfully found adoptive homes for more than 860,000 pets across the nation. The 2022 campaign established a new record with more than 161,000 pet adoptions.

The San Bernardino Animal Shelter serves the Cities of San Bernardino, Loma Linda, and Grand Terrace. Residents of any community may adopt a pet from the Shelter.
