San Manuel donates $100,000 to STEM program

The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians made a $100,000 contribution to the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) and the Workforce SBCSS department to fund the Cultivating Innovation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) schools program for one year.

SBCSS says the donation will also provide supplemental funding for ten elementary schools to create new STEM learning spaces that strengthen and enhance STEM learning at the K-6 grade levels and promote STEM career exploration.

Over the years, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians has donated close to $1.7 million to prepare youth for tomorrow’s careers in partnership with County Schools.
