Dufault-Hunter to oversee enrollment and marketing at CSUSB

Beginning July 1, Cal State San Bernardino (CSUSB) is combining the offices of financial aid and scholarships, admission operations, registrar, and outreach and student recruitment under the umbrella of Strategic Enrollment Management and Marketing. The university has chosen David Dufault-Hunter to serve as the inaugural vice president for the new division.

Dufault-Hunter comes to CSUSB from Cal State Northridge, where he has been the associate vice president for enrollment services since November 2020. While there, he worked to create a cohesive structure comprised of the offices of admission, student outreach and recruitment, financial aid and scholarships, university registrar, strategic communication for enrollment services, international exchange student center and enrollment services technology.

“It is an honor to serve as the inaugural vice president of Strategic Enrollment Management and Marketing at CSUSB,” Dufault-Hunter said. “I am deeply impressed by the dedication of the CSUSB community to student access and success. The warm and welcoming environment here reinforces my enthusiasm for our collective mission of transforming student lives.”

Dufault-Hunter’s has more than 30 years’ experience working with high school, undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of student recruitment and retention, marketing, academic partnerships and diversity initiatives. He has his bachelor of science in speech from the University of Texas at Austin, a master of arts in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in higher education from Azusa Pacific University.

Dufault-Hunter will officially join the university on September 3.
