Thanks to some dogged detective work and help from law enforcement jurisdictions from around the country two suspects wanted in a home invasion style robbery are in custody.
Alize and Lyiah Faison are accused of breaking into a home in the 2000 block of North Central Avenue and assaulting a resident while armed with an assault rifle and handgun on May 8, 2020. They stole about $560 worth of property from the home, police said.
Alize Faison was arrested in North Carolina earlier this year and was extradited back to San Bernardino County. The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office has filed charges against her. Her sister, Lyiah Faison was just recently apprehended in Las Vegas and has been extradited back to San Bernardino County. Charges have not been filed against Lyiah at this point but according to sources close to the case they soon will be.
San Bernardino Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt Equino Thomas said, “It is rare for women to be involved in this type of violent home invasion robbery.”
The arrests in the other jurisdictions were made based on the outstanding warrants for the crime issued by the San Bernardino Police Department. How exactly they came into contact with the authorities and were arrested base on the warrants is unknown. According to police sources, the victims in this case had no relationship and did not know these attackers.
Both sisters are being held on $250,000 bail.
