The San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is hosting a Summer Wellness Extravaganza at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) July 20. The free event aims to connect youth and older adults to build resilience from the severe isolation and health impacts of staying home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Summer Wellness Extravaganza is open to the public and will offer carnival games, food vendors, live music, fitness classes, mindfulness sessions, wellness activities, and information booths.
“Events like this are a top priority for the county and our department,” said Dr. Geogina Yoshioka, Behavioral Health Director. “They offer a valuable opportunity to connect, engage, and have fun. San Bernardino County is not just where we live and work but also where we play, emphasizing that wellness is crucial for individuals of all ages!”
DBH is presenting the event in collaboration with the Department of Aging and Adult Services and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Empire (BBBS).
