Planning Commission approves new quick serve restaurant on Hospitality

San Bernardino will soon be home to California’s first Salad and Go location.

Salad and Go is a fast-growing quick serve restaurant chain that features healthy and affordable salads, wraps, and breakfast, made to order in less than thirty seconds. The menu currently offers eight salads with house-made dressings and a choice of proteins (chicken, steak and tofu). Every salad is available as a wrap. The menu also features soup and five breakfast burrito options, also available to order as bowls.

The San Bernardino location will be at 885 East Hospitality Lane, west of Tippecanoe Avenue near Costco and the recently opened Dutch Bros.

The 1,000 square foot restaurant will have three drive through lanes – two for traditional ordering/pickup and one dedicated to mobile app order pickups.  The restaurant’s planned hours of operation will be weekdays 6:30am-9pm and weekends 7am-9pm.

“Initially I was a little apprehensive about another drive-thru coming, particularly one in the Transit Overlay District, but I applaud the fact that it’s a healthy option,” Commissioner Casey Dailey said during the hearing. “I’m a big fan of something other than deep-fried everything, so thank you.”

This project was approved by the Planning Commission on November 12 with a planned 2025 opening date.

Salad and Go was founded in Gilbert, Arizona in 2013 and has more than 135 locations in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and Oklahoma.
