Lefty’s Famous Cheesesteaks to open San Bernardino location

Lefty’s Famous Cheesesteak & Grill has leased space at 2071 E. Highland Ave. in San Bernardino.

The fast casual restaurant is conducting an aggressive expansion and the new location in San Bernardino will be their flagship Southern California location once opened later this year.

The new location will be in a three-tenant building which which also has a Cardenas and Planet Fitness in the shopping center at the intersection of Highland and Sterling avenues.

The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, and customers have a choice of dine-in or take-out.

Lefty’s was founded in Detroit in 2009 by Sam Berry. Inspired by his own left-handedness, Berry named the restaurant Lefty’s and elements of the décor celebrate this theme, including pictures of famous lefties such as Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates.
