The Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) at Cal State San Bernardino on Friday announced the finalists for this year's Spirit of the Entrepreneur Awards program.

Four San Bernardino entrepreneurs in semi-finals for Spirit Awards

Four entrepreneurs from San Bernardino have made the semi-finals.

Mauro Gomez, chief growth officer with Anita’s Mexican Foods, Corp., Cesar Navarrete President & CEO, Children’s Fund, Dr. Dale Marsden Founder of Tomorrow’s Talent, and Naushad Imam Mohammed CEO of World Wide Wings LLC, have made it to the next round of judging in the 22nd annual Spirit of the Entrepreneur Awards

Chosen from a field of more than 260 nominees, the 36 semi-finalists will attend a judging reception on October 3rd where they will meet and interact with the event judges. Immediately following the reception, the judges will convene, deliberate and select the finalists, whose names will be unveiled on October 4th.

The finalists will then compete for the 2024 Spirit of the Entrepreneur award at the black-tie gala on November 21st at the Riverside Convention Center in Riverside.

The annual black-tie event, better known as the Oscars of Business, awards top innovators from the Inland Empire in nine entrepreneurial categories, each honoring the leadership, determination, teamwork, community involvement, and the risks taken to build successful entrepreneurial companies.

A portion of the proceeds from the Spirit of the Entrepreneur event benefit the Spirit of the Entrepreneur Scholarship established by Dr. Mike Stull, Director of Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at California State University, San Bernardino. The scholarship is awarded to vetted and deserving entrepreneurship students from CSUSB’s School of Entrepreneurship, in order to assist them in achieving their degree.

The Spirit of the Entrepreneur event is presented by the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship and the Jack H. Brown College of Business & Public Administration at California State University San Bernardino.
