European sportswear retailer coming to Inland Center Mall

JD Sports, a global retailer of high-end sportswear and sneakers, will hold a grand opening Aug. 24 at the Inland Center Mall in San Bernardino.

The grand opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the company’s 6,850-square-foot store near the mall’s Center Court.

“JD Sports is a huge asset to the mall,” said Terri Relf, the mall’s senior marketing manager, in a statement. “It will provide top global brands in both apparel and footwear and gives our customers so many more choices and new releases for the whole family.”

Number of employees was not available.

JD Sports is based in England and operates more than 3,400 stores nationwide.  Its brands include Nike, adidas, Jordan, Champion, Vans and The North Face.

JD Sports has locations in Riverside and Victorville. A new store is also planned for Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga.

Inland Center Mall is next to Interstate 215 at 500 Inland Center Drive.
