English-style fish and chips served at H. Salt

English-style fish and chips served at H. Salt

Nestled in the Del Rosa Stater Brothers Shopping Center, H. Salt Fish & Chips has been in operation for many decades serving residents with quality fish and chips.  While H. Salt Fish & Chips is a franchise dating back to the 1960’s, this is only one of seven that remain in Southern California.

Even more importantly, H. Salt in San Bernardino has been owned and operated by the same family at this location for as long as we can remember.

While the restaurant fixtures are dated, it only adds to the ambiance of the Fish and Chips experience of fried breaded fish (pollack) served with fries (chips) as you would traditionally experience in England where the food originated.  In addition to fish, the restaurant serves shrimp, clams and oysters, also breaded and fried.

The service is fast and friendly, and the fish is always nicely fried and flakey.  If you haven’t tried authentic fish and chips, you should definitely stop by this restaurant for lunch or dinner.  If you aren’t a fries fan, they have numerous other sides including zucchini, coleslaw, hush puppies, or onion rings.

Prices are extremely reasonable and if you want to get your children to eat fish, there is no better way.  We highly recommend this local jewel.
