Chubzies opens brick-and-mortar location in San Bernardino

A local, fan favorite pop-up eatery in San Bernardino has opened a new brick-and-mortar restaurant.

Chubzies Smashburger is now open at 2344 Sterling Ave., in the former home of Sushi Train.

The restaurant offers smashburgers along with both plain and loaded fries and Wubzie mini cakes for dessert.

And the reviews are glowing.

“Amazing service! Best smash burgers I’ve had in the Dino! Fries and tots always comes out AMAZING! Highly recommend for quick, made to order fresh food,” said Christina D. on social media.

“Fantastic smash burgers and tots! Really nice people working there, I’m so excited to have found this place,” said Donna F.

A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony with city council members will be held at 3:00 p.m. today, Thursday, March 7. The event is open to the public. There will be prizes and giveaways and live music.

Regular operating hours are noon-8 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
