San Bernardino Mayoral candidate to be featured on local radio show

San Bernardino Mayoral candidate to be featured on local radio show

Helen Tran, who will face off against former City Attorney Jim Penman to become the next Mayor of San Bernardino, will appear on the Lou Desmond & Co. Show Thursday at 5:00.  The show is broadcast on KMET 1490 (ABC News Radio Inland Empire) and can also be heard through the Listen Live KMET App.

Cliff Cummings, owner of the Toyota of San Bernardino, Subaru and KIA dealerships located at the San Bernardino Auto Mall, is a frequent guest on the show and came up with the idea to host Tran.

Cummings, through his multiple businesses, is one of a handful of the largest taxpayers in the City of San Bernardino and has a motivated interest in the future of the City.  Cummings and his wife, Bobbi are also very active in philanthropic efforts in the City and surrounding areas and have been for many years.

“I think its important that the voters of the City of San Bernardino tune in and listen to what she has to say about the issues confronting this community,” said Cummings. “This is a big decision and people need to know where she stands.”

Cummings added that he was reaching out to Jim Penman to see if he could be on the show on a future date.

As for his part, the host of the show Lou Desmond, intends to play a background role in this interview.  “Cliff Cummings is much smarter than me and knows a lot more about the City of San Bernardino. I am going to let him and the candidate have a conversation while I play the gracious host – or at least as much of the gracious part as I can pull off.”
