New COVID-19 Vaccination site opens at IEHP

San Bernardino County is partnering with Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) to provide a Super vaccination site to facilitate vital COVID-19 vaccinations.

In a written statement, Karen Hansberger M.D. chief medical officer of IEHP, said “Getting these vaccines to our residents is a critical element in our fight to contain COVID-19.” She went on to say “Residents should be vaccinated as soon as they are able, and we are doing all we can to make that happen. Receiving the vaccine as a community puts us one step closer to living safe, and healthy lives.”

Plans are for IEHP and County nurses to give, in the region of, 500 vaccinations per day, moving toward a daily goal of 1,000.

The clinic will begin offering vaccinations starting Feb. 23 at 10801 6th street in San Bernardino.  IEHP will also provide support for persons with mobility challenges and include an area for monitoring possible side effects.

The clinic will be open 10am – 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday, and is scheduled to run for approximately 6 months, by appointment only. To make an appointment go to SBCovid19.com/vaccine.
