Family Owned Ye Olde Lamplighter a Great Local Steak House

Ye Olde Lamplighter has been a mainstay in North San Bernardino since the 1960’s and remains one of the best local steak houses in town.

Located in the 40th Street Staer Bros shopping center between the old Stater Bros building (TJ Maxx) and the new Stater Brothers, the Lamplighter continues to offer a large menu of Beef, Pork, Lamb and Seafood dishes at reasonable prices with the finest cuts of selected meat available.

This evening I enjoyed the Flat Iron Steak from the menu with the side of vegetables and the house coleslaw, being mindful of my carbohydrate intake.  The steak was prepared medium rare and was a wonderful, tender cut of beef grilled beautifully.  The steak could be cut with a butter knife and was the best post-pandemic steak I have enjoyed.  Not being a big veggie fan, I also enjoyed the mixed vegetables that were cooked to just to the point of tenderness.

If you are looking for a steak house in San Bernardino, Ye Olde Lamplighter is the perfect location to bring the family, business associates, or a date.  They open at 5PM daily and also have a great bar with specialty house drinks!

Stop by and tell them we said hello!
