Down Home Cooking for Decades at the Pepper Steak Restaurant

The Pepper Steak has been in business on Highland Avenue across from Patton State Hospital for many years.  While they technically are a Highland Restaurant, that’s just an address as they have been a staple in their San Bernardino neighborhood since they opened 50 years ago.

Open every morning at 7 AM for breakfast through dinner, the Pepper Steak has a great menu for any occasion or appetite.  Both the food and the customer service are always great.

This week we had breakfast with the French Toast combination and the Denver Omelet.  The French Toast was fantastic with thick bread slices prepared wonderfully.  The Denver Omelet was large with ham, bell peppers and onions with Swiss cheese, but all of their omelets are tasty with big portions.

The customer service at the Pepper Steak is always friendly and first class, and they won’t let your coffee get cold either!   We have always called this restaurant one of our favorite local spots and we are pleased to tell our readers that nothing much has changed.
