Disney grants 126K lbs. of Fresh Produce to Feeding America

The Walt Disney Company granted Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) funding to source and distribute 126,000 pounds of fresh, healthy produce to Inland Empire families in need.

“With rising grocery and gas prices, access to fresh fruits and vegetables has not been easily attainable by many families, children, and seniors within the Inland Empire,” said Carolyn Solar, CEO of FARSB. “We are incredibly grateful to Disney as they continuously give hope to our community.”

As part of their commitment to help create healthier generations by providing access to nutritious foods, including fresh produce, Disney has served as a long-term benefactor for the Feeding America network as they have consistently awarded grants to food banks such as FARSB for the past ten years. As the largest regional food bank of the Inland Empire, FARSB served over 30 million pounds of nutritious food in 2021 to families in need throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
