County parks now hiring lifeguards and pool managers for 2021 swim season

From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, the San Bernardino County Regional Parks opens its swim complexes at Cucamonga-Guasti, Glen Helen and Yucaipa for families to enjoy. However, lifeguards and pool managers are still needed for the 2021 swim season.  Interested candidates are invited to apply.

Lifeguards will receive $14.50-$16.00 per hour and are responsible for protecting the public against accidents in the swim facilities, properly administering first aid/CPR if an accident should take place, and properly maintaining and operating pool, waterslide, and park equipment.

Pool Managers will receive $18.00 per hour and are responsible for training, leading and supervising Lifeguards and ensuring customers adhere to pool rules while maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times. Pool Managers conduct opening and closing procedures, review the daily slide checks Waterslide Maintenance Log documentation, and maintain a fun, safe environment.

Applicants must be at least 16 and are required to provide Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications valid through September 2021. All requirements must be met prior to the first day of work. Bilingual applicants strongly desired. Regional Parks will offer reimbursement for new lifeguard certification or recertification upon completion of 80 hours of paid work time.
