Chick-Fil-A donates $25,000 to support child hunger

The popular restaurant chain, Chick-fil-A recently presented Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) with a $25,000 dollar grant. The donation was given in honor of a new Chick-fil-A restaurant that opened recently in Yucaipa.

According to FARSB, the grant will help to provide more than 150,000 meals for grab and go sites that serve Inland Empire children facing hunger.

The funding is provided as part of the Chick-fil-A Foundation’s $3 million commitment to Feeding America to support child hunger programs in honor of new Chick-fil-A restaurants opening across the country.

FARSB is one of nine food banks and the only food bank in California to receive the grant funding. 98% of every dollar donated will go to food programs and 100% of it will stay in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

In 2020, the regional food bank served over 1.5 million Inland Empire residents, one third of which are children.
