Great Sushi, Good Price: Sushi Tomo

Great Sushi, Good Price: Sushi Tomo

It’s really no surprise that California State University, San Bernardino’s 20,000 students (no that isn’t a misprint) have attracted a growing number of sushi restaurants to our City.

Sushi Tomo is one of the many restaurants that has found a good home off of University Parkway just across from Starbucks.  We stopped in this week for the All-You-Can-Eat Sushi at $32 each and were not disappointed by the food or the extensive menu.

We ordered from the extensive list of appetizers, sushi, and rolls on the AYCE menu which varies only slightly from the regular menu.   We started with the “Heart Attack” appetizer, which is a jalapeno-crab meat concoction that isn’t as spicy as advertised but is deliciously flavorful, and followed by tuna and red snapper nigiri, and a number of rolls.

The Mango Tango Roll is an interesting change of pace with lemon, mango and salmon and is excellent starter before getting into the spicier dishes.  We followed this with a Lobster Popcorn Roll and Dragon Roll.  The food was fresh and delivered quickly to our table.

The service at Sushi Tomo is gracious and fast.  We had a wonderful experience with our chef and servers.  Everything together made for a delightful evening sushi dinner at a very reasonable price.

We recommend you give Sushi Tomo a visit and encourage you to continue to shop local this Christmas Season.
